My Story
So many people have been and still are misdiagnosed, or get no diagnosis which can lead to misery as undiagnosed back pain is often looked upon as insignificant, common, and at worst imaginary. It isn't unusual for people to be told their pain is psychosomatic, imaginary, all in their heads. It isn't uncommon for families to break apart because they don't understand what's going on. Arachnoiditis isn't a disease you can 'see' unless you look deep into that persons eyes and see there, hidden, the never ending chronic pain which lies ever close to the surface.
We hope these stories will encourage you, that you are certainly not alone, you're not bonkers! The cause may not be visible, but this isn't imaginary pain, there is a reason behind it. More importantly we want to encourage you to stand up and fight for a correct diagnosis, even if it isn't Arachnoiditis.
